Unison is far too slow, however, and I really, really like Synkron outside of this problem, which is a show stopper for me. This will copy changed files, but it will also delete files in the destination that are not in the source. I wonder if this has something to do with file permissions as I got all kinds of permissions errors with Unison for the files that were being copied to the server until I added a "no permissions" flag to the config file. I'm surprised that nobody has commented on the fact that this does not do what the OP asked for. They take up a lot of space and I see no simple way of getting rid of them. I have the latest version of Synkron but cannot locate the Clone Folder 1. The files that generate the errors still get copied over correctly however, the problem is the source and destination folders are filling up with these "qt_tempXXXX" files. How can I use Synkron to copy from source to destination but if a file is. I only get the errors on files that are being copied to the server (files being copied from the server to my laptop are not generating these errors). These files are copies of the files of that are generating the errors and they end up in both locations (source and destination). Multisync can be performed in similar fashion, you just need to specify a list of folders which you wish to sync with one destination folder, apparently there is no limit on numbers of folders that you can sync, however, time to completely sync listed folders depends upon target location (local or remote) and size of data. res files I end up with a bunch of files with names like "qt_tempXXXX". 1 not save the updated files- even though they have been updated based on the new file date 2 replace all of the files which is waste of time and resources ( there are 3307 files that I copy) or decide on each file what I want to do on 3307 files also a major waste of my time. I get the same "unknown error copying file: XXX" error, but instead of the. I am also having a very similar problem to the OP when I try to sync a folder on my laptop (Ubuntu 9.04) with a folder on a remote Active Directory share that is mounted via samba.
